Pool And Gardens

When we bought our houses we were lucky that each had a garden, which is unusual in our village. Later, we were able to buy the large field behind, 8000 sq. metres, which we have used to extend the gardens and landscape a pool area. It also means we can preserve the open view to the rear. We have also been able to create a drive, giving us rear access and parking.

The pool, built in 1996, measures 9 by 4 metres, with a Roman D and steps at one end. The depth is 1.5m, with no deep or shallow ends. With the solar heating, the pool is open from April to October, although we cannot guarantee the temperature level in the early and late season!

The pool is enclosed and access from the gardens is via gates. There are loungers, chairs, tables, parasols and gazebos for shade. At night the pool can be lit by an underwater lamp. We have recently installed a pool alarm in accordance with French legislation.

We have a wide range of planters and pots with an abundance of flowers around the pool.

In the large grassed area (not quite a lawn yet, but we are getting there!) beyond the pool area, a variety of games and activities are available e.g. football, badminton, basketball, swings & slide. The area is even long enough to practice the odd golf swing! Across the road from the end of the field is the MiniGolf, open in summer season.
